On April 20th, 2025, hosted by Dr. Katayoun Taghizadeh and organized by the Architecture Student Association of the University of Tehran. Among the speakers were Baharak Keshani and Raha Ashrafi, with the presence of Elahe Radmehr, board member of the Iran Construction Engineering Organization.
In her talk, Raha Ashrafi reflected on the historical position of women in architecture, noting that women have generally entered the architectural profession later than men—a pattern evident not only in Iran but worldwide. She emphasized how structural, cultural, and professional barriers have shaped this delayed presence, while also highlighting the growing role of women in redefining architectural practice today.
Her discussion encouraged a broader understanding of equity, visibility, and long-term impact of women in shaping the future of the built environment.
