Marziah Zad was invited to participate as a plenary speaker at the Second Workshop of Spanish and South African Universities: Transforming Urban and Rural Areas Towards a Sustainable Future, organized by the Embassy of Spain in South Africa and the Society of Spanish Researchers in Southern Africa (ACESDA).

The workshop, which took place in Cape Town in 2025, aims to foster academic collaboration, research partnerships, and dialogue between higher education institutions in both countries.

This edition focused on Sustainable Architecture, Urban Development, Landscaping, and Urban Planning, and Marziah Zad joined the “New Urban Ecologies” round table, engaging with both South African and Spanish speakers.
